CHALLENGE

The challenge for Kääriku Sports Center was to bring their expansive sports complex to life in the digital world. They needed a solution that not only showcased their facilities but also gave users a sense of immersion and exploration. The goal was to enable potential visitors to explore everything. From sports halls to accommodations in a way that felt engaging and interactive, ultimately driving more interest and bookings.

WHAT WE DID

Intuitive and Immersive Navigation

We designed an interactive way to explore the sports center. Users can effortlessly move the camera around, click on facilities marked with tooltips, and zoom in for a closer view. Each facility is paired with detailed information displayed in a sidebar, along with options to dive deeper into dedicated pages. Immersive camera movements enhance the overall experience, making exploration engaging and seamless.

Optimized Performance for All Users

We optimized the whole sports center’s 3D model to run seamlessly on the web. We developed and implemented a custom Level of Detail (LOD) system, ensuring smooth performance across all devices. The system intelligently loads low-resolution models first for quick access, while high-resolution models download in the background. This approach guarantees smooth performance, even on lower-end devices.

Empowering Flexibility and Long-Term Usability

To future-proof the experience, we provided tools and parameters that allow the client to make updates and changes easily. This flexibility ensures the platform remains user-focused and adaptable. Our LOD system also dynamically adjusts visuals based on proximity, delivering a polished experience without compromising performance.
